Home Truths is the Federation’s look at the housing market in England.

Each year, we publish nine regional reports providing local data on affordability, unemployment and shortfall in housing supply. The reports are an ideal tool for engaging with local policy makers and stakeholders, offering a snapshot of the housing market where you are.

In 2018, we launched the digital Home Truths tool, where you can access the latest data on affordability, unemployment and shortfall in the local authorities you’re interested in. You can use the tool to create a customised Home Truths report with your organisation’s logo and name on, and select the local authorities you want to compare. Data is refreshed as and when new figures become available.
